J Scott Cottis

Founder and CEO

Before founding National DME, Scott started two other healthcare related companies. The first, Video Home Rehab, developed the first 'Ankle Sprain Kit' to guide patient's through post injury home therapy. He successfully licensed this product to Intermountain Healthcare in 1995 and later sold the company. The second, Sports Specifics, developed the 'Strong Arm Strength Trainer' to assist baseball players in strengthening their rotator cuff. This product was licensed to Alimed, Inc. in 1997. Scott attended the University of Utah where he played football and studied exercise and sports science.

Joe Cottis

Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining the company in 2000, Joe finished a 24 year carreer as a special agent for the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation. Joe served as Salt Lake City Division, Comptroller/Financial Manager. In that capacity he supervised the Office of Financial Affairs personnel and managed discretionary budgets for the Special Agent in Charge as well as covert spending for investigative matters. Joe also served at FBI Headquarters as a Supervisor in the Administrative Services Division where he was assigned to develop and execute the FBI’s Financial Plan, funded at approx. $ 2.5 billion annually.

Jon Hill

Operations Manager

Jon began his career with National DME in 2001 and was instrumental in helping to develop many key features and strategies used in each of the company's business models. Jon is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company including management of branch warehouses, field staff, purchasing and supply chain. Jon attended the University of Utah and studied business administration with an empahsis in inventory management.

John Weidauer

IT Manager

John joined National DME in 2003 and is responsible for the company's information technology platform and infrastructure. John also helped develop and implement critical and proprietary in-house software systems used in the company's business models. Prior to National DME John worked as a database engineer and developer at the Utah Department of Health.
